The Conference was organised by the Law Society of NI’s Elder Client Working Group, a group that was established by Linda and colleagues in early 2017 for solicitors who are interested in the work of elderly and vulnerable clients. Over 140 doctors, health care, and legal professionals were in attendance at the Conference which provided a platform for medico-legal professionals to come together and share current thinking around capacity issues, to discuss the challenges and problems which lie ahead and to identify areas of commonality and approach. The Conference also raised over £4,000 for Age NI, the leading charity for older people in Northern Ireland.
Linda Johnston was a key note speaker at the Elder Law Conference organised by the Law Society of NI in association with Age NI and Step NI.
