Our Senior Partner, Martin Hanna said the following; “After Gerry died a few of us got together and we all agreed that there was no better way to celebrate Gerry’s life than by arranging a golf day in his memory. We wanted to raise as much money as possible for the two charities that were very close to Gerry’s heart, particularly throughout his illness, Macmillan and Marie Curie. In the end up, it took us four attempts to stage the event due to bad weather (and possibly some intervention from Gerry himself!) but it finally happened on the 4th occasion on the 17th August. Despite a pretty horrible day for golf we had 160 golfers who played and we had a great crowd who came along in the evening where virtually everyone walked away with a golf or ballot prize. It was a huge success and the perfect way to remember Gerry. Most importantly of all, we raised over £13,000 for Macmillan and Marie Curie. I would like to thank everyone who supported the event and to those people who made the event possible particularly, Gerry’s wife Rosie, his great friends Joel Taggart and Ian Hanna and to everyone at Shandon Park Golf Club who were superb on each of the days the event was due to take place.”
Following the success of the charity golf day we held in memory of our late partner Gerry Daly, we raised over £13,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie.
