Laura acted for Siobhan McLaughlin in her successful Supreme Court challenge in support of bereaved children. Laura will be the first of 18 speakers at the day long event, which will be hosted by William Crawley. The overall theme of the day is “Imagine” where speakers will look forward to the kind of future we can have as a society, in Northern Ireland and beyond. Laura commented: “It is a huge honour and privilege to be invited to speak amongst a group of such interesting and inspiring people. In the current political climate, it is more important than ever that we come together to imagine a better future. The location of the event, Parliament Buildings, is very fitting. I’m particularly pleased as a lawyer to be invited to speak, as the extent to which the law can play a significant role in positive change in society, is an important message and one that I very much look forward to sharing.”Laura Banks, from Francis Hanna & Co solicitors has been invited to deliver a talk at TEDx Stormont talk on 31st August.
